" Houstons"

" Houston's " Located in Irvine in the middle of the business district . This place is a step in time to when advertising is dependent to reputation and not digital technology. Houston is located between Michelson and Jamboree it rest inside Park Place. The Food is Classic American Steakhouse , I personally was unaware of this restaurant because this restaurant is based entirely on reputation than advertisement from social media. There is no email guest list as well , from entering the facility we notice that it was moderately crowded with mostly business casual audience. We waited for 30 min to be seated, while waiting a waitress did come by and offered libations and drink while waiting in the lobby.  http://www.hillstone.com/#/restaurants/houstons/

Prime Rib with AuJus , Baked potato with butter , sour cream , cheese and chives . A side of horseradish sauce.

When i orders the Prime Rib I made an incredible big mistake, I ordered it well done. Having ordered it well done made the center of the prime rib incredibly tuff and dry. The outer rim of the Prime Rib was delicious with a salty crust this part of the prime rib I did enjoy. The AuJus  drip did compliment the Prime Rib , i was so thankful of the AuJus because i literally placed the center of the meat to soak up the dry part . The baked potato was soft and the ingredients melted nicely with meat of the potato ,  I did not try the horseradish since I personally don't like it . It was a good meal hence now knowing to never order Prime Rib Well done , this is one meat that does need some pink to it .

Hawaiian glazed Ribeye served with a loaded Baked Potato

This is one of Houston's most popular dish , it is a Ribeye marinated in a Hawaiian glaze. It is then over hardwood and served. I did not like the taste of the Hawaiian glaze by my significant other did. As far as tenderness it won on that part. The baked potato was meaty and moist with all the ingredients it compliment each other . This was a Meat and Potato meal , hearty , fulfilling and down right good. If you like tropical glazed on your meats that this should be perfect .

Warm Five Nut Brownie served with a caramel Ice Cream !

This was my favorite dish , this is a warm rich chocolate brownie with a crisp outer crust served with five variety of nuts . Pistachios , Walnuts , Macadamia nuts Pecans this has no Peanuts what so ever. I cherished every bite of the dessert , the nuts were soft to chew and complimented the entire brownie and ice cream. 

Overall Experience 

Overall the experience was very delicious , knowing my mistake I will never order a Prime Rib Well done ever again.  The wait time was difficult to handle for my significant other but being served a libation while waiting showed how the restaurant thought about their patrons. We will definitely be coming back again. 

Lily's Tips 

I was informed that Wednesdays - Fridays are their busy days , this is due partly from the business district going out to eat after work. Call ahead for reservations to cut back on time, parking is definitely difficult , be prepared to hunt for a parking space. 

" Wood Ranch "

" Wood Ranch " with locations in Anaheim Hills and Irvine we had quite of distant to go , so I was able to find one in Cerritos. I know it not in the OC but the distant was the same to all the locations , plus the wait time was shorter . I went 9/12/13 around 3:15 pm , located in Cerritos Wood Ranch offers American steak house cuisine ass well as Barbecue items such as Beef ribs and Beef Brisket .

Mango Margarita 

" I ordered the Mango Margarita , which is a libation ( that means is has alcohol ) this was tasty it had a very fine taste of Mango's . Overall I tasted the alcohol  and not  the mango's ! 

Sourdough Bread roll with Garlic Butter brushed on top. 

The Bread rolls were sourdough with garlic butter brushed on top of the rolls , these were very tasty and were served warm upon arrival . 

Beef Brisket with a Baked Potato

My Husband ordered the Beef Brisket Well done on a french baguette , along with a baked potato with butter , sour cream , chives , shredded cheese and bacon bits. The presentation of the food was crowded  but it was ale to fit onto the oval plate .The taste of the brisket was very good , the meet was tender and sauce was a honey  glazed , the baked potato was right temperature and the shredded cheese melted nicely ate first bite , all the ingredients worked in harmony . Overall the food was very delicious ! 

Barbecue Beef Ribs with grilled Asparagus and Baked Potato ! 

I ordered  the Barbecue Beef Ribs well done with grilled asparagus , I also ordered a baked potato with butter , sour cream , chives , shredded American yellow cheese and bacon bits (I was hungry ) .

The Beef ribs were superb , tender , meaty, well done with no pink noted . The sauce was spectacular , it was honey Carmel barbecue sauce so overall the ribs were sweet. I was able to finished two to the bone and rest i took home , The Asparagus were grilled perfectly not to raw and not to bunt , i like eat mine with a small bit of mayonnaise or hollandaise sauce. The baked cooked perfectly not overcooked or raw , but was to able to melt the cheese and worked harmoniously with all its ingredients .

Hot Chocolate Brownie served with Vanilla Ice Cream with whipped Cream and Pecans !

The Dessert consisted of a chocolate hot brownie served with vanilla ice cream and large semi roasted pecans and topped with large pecans alongside. This was delicious and all the ingredients worked well with each with eat bite . We ate quickly because the brownie was hot and melting the ice cream. I personally didn't like the pecans but the husband did . 

Overall Experience 

Overall the experience was superb the only downfall was the mango margarita. I be definitely eating here again the service was very attentive and we did register on the email list. So definitely  will bogging  on different  items next time .  

Lily's Tips 

Go during slow time to avoid crowds and traffic , the best time would between 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Call ahead to see how the wait time is , Irvine always seems to be incredibly crowded and waiting can be frustrating.
